Merge PDF files without uploading them

This tool combines several PDF files into one document, right in your browser. Put the files in order, open the Pages view to remove, rotate or move single pages with a preview of each one, and download a single PDF. Most online PDF mergers upload your documents to their servers and limit you to a few files per hour: here nothing leaves your device, and there is no daily limit.

How to merge PDF files

  1. Drop your PDF files in the box, or click to choose them.
  2. Drag the files into the right order, or click Sort A-Z. In the Pages view, remove or rotate the pages you want.
  3. Click Merge PDF: the combined file is saved in your downloads.

What to use it for

  • Applications: a cover letter, a resume and diplomas sent as one PDF.
  • Paperwork: invoices, receipts or bank statements of a year in a single file.
  • Scans: pages scanned one by one, put back together in order, the sideways ones turned.
  • Reports: chapters written by several people, joined into one document.
  • Printing: many files printed in one go, each starting on a new sheet with the double-sided printing option.

Files view or Pages view?

  • Files: one line per PDF, to choose the order of whole documents. The quickest when every page is needed.
  • Pages: every page with its preview, to remove the ones you do not need, turn a sideways scan, or mix pages of different files.

Frequently asked questions

How do I combine PDF files into one?

Drop your PDF files in the box, or click to choose them. Put them in the right order by dragging them or with the arrows, then click Merge PDF: one file, merged.pdf, is saved in your downloads.

Are my PDF files uploaded?

No. The files are merged in your browser, on your own device: nothing is sent to a server, nothing is stored. It works with contracts, payslips and medical documents you would rather not upload anywhere.

Can I remove or reorder single pages before merging?

Yes. Open the Pages view: every page of every file is shown with a preview. Drag a page to move it (or use the arrows on a phone), turn it with the rotate button, or remove it with the cross. Restore all brings back the pages of a file.

Is there a limit on the number of files or pages?

Up to 50 files and 500 MB at a time, with no limit on the number of pages and no limit per day. Since nothing is uploaded, big files are merged as fast as your device allows.

Does merging lower the quality of my PDF?

No. Pages are copied as they are: text stays selectable and searchable, links keep working, and images keep their full resolution. Nothing is converted to an image.

Why does a file show an error?

Either it is protected by a password, or it is damaged. A protected PDF must be unlocked first (open it with its password and save a copy without protection). The other files can still be merged.
